Wake Up Dude!

I was inspired to write an entry about how we can help to delay the rapid worsening and destruction of the earth cause mainly by GLOBAL WARMING. But what is global warming...hehehe! eto sagot ni Wikipedia:
"Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans since the mid-twentieth century and its projected continuation."

"hmm, ano daw?

Cge ganito na lang. Based sa campaign ad ng QTV, kng si Araw noon labas pasok sa earth ng walang hassle, ngaun pag pumasok sya, indi na sya makalabas kaya painit ng painit ang temperature ng earth. "Eh ano naman kng uminit?" HALLER!!! Yun lang nmn magcocause ng:

• Heat waves and periods of unusually warm weather
• Ocean warming, sea-level rise and coastal flooding
• Glaciers melting
• Arctic and Antarctic warming
• Spreading disease
• Earlier spring arrival
• Plant and animal range shifts and population changes
• Coral reef bleaching
• Downpours, heavy snowfalls, and flooding

Pero let's not focus on Global Warming alone. Lahat na lang ng pangit na nangyayari sa kapaligiran nten. Such as...

• Ang basurang patuloy na dumadami na baka isang araw gumising tau na puno na ng basura ang inaapakan nten.
• Ang polusyon sa tubig,hangin,lupa at kung san san pang parte ng mundo na onti-onting pumapatay sa atin.

Pero d pa naman huli ang lahat. MARAMI pa tayong maitutulong para madelay ang tuluyang pagkasira ng ating mundo. Hmm, alam ko na sasabhin ng iba jan...common nang sagot to ng mga taong WALANG PAKIALAM sa mga nangyayari sa ating planeta lalo na pag pinagsabihan mo sila. Simulan nten sa pinakamaliit na komunidad...sa BAHAY.

1. I-recycle nten ang mga plastic bags. Pwedeng gawing basurahan or lalagyan ulet ng gamit kapag kelangan. Sasabhin ng iba kalat lang yun sa loob, baka ipisin pa pag nakatambak...solusyon jan, itago ng maaus.
2. Hindi naman mabigat sa bulsa ang palitan ang mga lightbulb ng fluorescent bulb di ba. Mas makakatipid ka pa sa kuryente nun eh.
3. Proper waste disposal ciempre. Wag nten ilalabas ung basura kng wala namang maghahakot that day. Ikakalat lang yan ng mga asong gala, iipisin at higit sa lahat mangangamoy sa labas. Kawawa nmn ang mga taong dadaan dun di ba. Pano pa pag umulan. Ok lang ba sainyo dumaan sa tubig na may katas mula sa basura at palutang-lutang ang mga diaper na may popo...yuck ha!
4. Magtipid sa kuryente at tubig. Wag lang basta buhus ng buhos dapat sapat lang. Wag ding hahayaang umapaw ang tubig sa iniimbakang balde. Pag magsashower nmn, pag indi magbabanlaw, isara muna.
5. Sa mga nag-aircon, kng ifafan lang nmn, mas ok nang wag nang buksan ang aircon. magbentilador na lang.
6. Kung may bakanteng lote pa na nakatiwangwang, PLANT A TREE or kahit anong halaman.
   

Isunod naman nten ang mga magagawa nten sa loob ng opisina at paaralan.

1. As much as possible, iwasan ang paggamit ng DISPOSABLE plates, cups, spoons and forks. At kung di man maiwasang gumamit ng disposable things, sana isa lang kada araw. Halimbawa ung plastic cups, pagkatapos gamitn wag agad itatapon, para pag nauhaw ulit un na lang din ang gamitin.
2. Sa pagpiprint nmn, imaximize ang papel. Print at both side or kng ayaw nyo ng ganun, irecycle nyo ung papel. Like gawing scratch paper ung likod or gawing pambalot sa regalo.
3. Turn-off ung power supply sa workstation lalo pa wala namang importanteng trabahong iiwanan na kelangan bukas magdamag.
4. Sa mga notebooks naman, be sure na mamaximize din ang bawat page ng notebook. Sulatan ang likuran ng page para nmn indi maubos agad ang mga punong pinagkukuhanan panggawa ng mga papel.

At higit sa lahat ang ating pakikisalamuha sa kalsada.

1. Sa mga nagyoyosi, iwasan ang pagbuga ng usok sa harapan ng tao. Ibaling na lang sa iba direction ang pagbuga ng usok.
2. Sa mga may sasakyan, ugaliing linisin ang mga tambutso para sa ikabubuti higit lalo ng mga taong naglalakad at nag-aabang ng sasakyan.
3. Sa mga kumakain, umiinom, nagkicandy or nagyoyosi sa kalsada, OBSERVE PROPER WASTE DISPOSAL. Indi yung tapon sa labas ng bintana ng sasakyan at sa gilid ng kalsada para na rin makaiwas sa disgrasya. Like halimbawa umaakyat sa MRT. Nasa escalator ka na maglalaglag ka pa ng coke in can na walang laman, kamusta naman ang matatamaan mo sa baba. Ang mga saging na tinapon mo sa daan, ano na lang mangyayari sa makakaapak nun.
4. Sa mga naggogrocery sa mall, as much as possible, gamitin ang green bag or kahit anong lalagyan wag lang plastic.
5. Ugaliing magtakip ng panyo kapag naghihintay ng sasakyan or pagtawid para iwas sa sakit.

Iilan lang yan sa mga simpleng bagay na pwede natin gawin. Di yan masyado OA kung tutuusin. Walang tatawa sayo kapag ginawa mo yan. At lalong walang mawawala sayo kng susundin mo ang mga yan. Dude, tao kang naninirahan sa mundong eto kaya kahit papano may pakialam ka. Kung di mo maisip yan para sa sarili mo, isipin mo ang mga bata at sanggol pa lang ngaun. Ano ang maibbgay mong kinabuksan sa kanila kung d mo kaya gawin kahit ang mga simpleng bagay para alagaan ang tirahan nila.

Masisave ko ba ang mundo kng gagawin ko yan? Cguro nga hindi, pero kahit papano makakapagcontribute ka sa pagpapagal ng pagkasira nito. It's never been too late dude kng lahat tayo gagawin to. Wag natin iasa sa gobyerno or sa mga nakakataas na mga tao ang pagprotekta sa kapakanan nten lahat. Dapat simulan nten to sa ating mga sarili kc d nman superhero ang gobyerno para lahat ng hinaing nten matutugunan nila. Responsibilidad yan ng bawat isa sa atin.

PS. No offense meant sa kung sino man po matatamaan sa blog ko. :D Ang nais ko lamang ay mabawasan ang nakikitang mga taong walang pakundangan sa pag-aksaya ng ating likas na yaman.

A Must-To-Answer Survey

Lately, I just realized how hard it is to decide where to enroll and what course to take in College. It's a heavy burden to those people who are not intelligent and blessed financially enough to go for the Top 4 Universities in NCR(UP, Ateneo, UST, LaSalle). Of course, when you can't enroll to any of those universities, you need to look for other schools which meet the following requirements:

1. Low or reasonable enough tuition fee
   
2. High quality of Education
3. Safe Location
4. Has 2 of your chosen courses

Due to these requirements, I am using my blog to get a help from you by giving me schools who meet the requirements above. At least give me 5 schools and rank them 1-5 or so on who have BSCS/BSIT and list of schools leading in Nursing. Please exclude from the options the top 4 universities I mentioned above. Hehehe! Likewise, exclude also Polytechnic University of the Philippines(PUP), coz I know it's the best choice of school for BSIT/BSCS for me based on the requirements above and this is the ultimate but uncertain option I have now. Hehehe!

Going Home in Sorsogon City

Mar 26, 2008 10am. I left Manila via JVH ordinary bus with Papa, and my two cousins(Unik and Macmac). I was so excited yet a little bit nervous since I didn't go home for more than two years already. What should I expect? What will happen on my 4-day vacation? Will I meet my old friends and will they recognize me or will I recognize them? These were the questions behind my mind while I was on the bus going to Sorsogon.

My trip going to Bikol was a little bit scary since the bus driver was so playful that he even drove so fast and what do you call that "banking" even on a zigzag road near the cliffs. But other than that our trip was quite not tiring since we enjoyed watching the view but suddenly saddened when we passed on one part of Quezon where a lot of landslides had occurred during storm Reming and Milenyo. Since it was the longest trip I ever had for the past 2 years, my butt was aching already and I felt quite bored sometime. Finally we reached Sorsogon City proper @ 11pm and there my tita ana, tito cards and their 2 kids were waiting for us. We hurriedly load our baggages on his tricycle and head towards Sorsogon National High School to fetch Dimple. It was the SNHS graduation ball/Seniors' Night.

When we arrived at the entrance, 4th year students were happily dancing and outside the gate were the parents and guardians waiting for their kids to go home. I still knew the teachers in-charge at the entrance and hey! they recognized me but forgotten my first name. hehehe! So we had a little chat(good thing I had a smooth trip or else I'll be smelling so bad) hehehe! Papa that time was getting irritated already because we've been waiting for Dimple for almost 30minutes. It was his first time to fetch his daughter from a party so he didn't understand that it can reached till midnight. After an hour, Dimple finally decided to go home. It was the first time I saw her wearing a dress and well all I can say was, the dress fits her.

It was so dark traveling from Sorsogon City proper to Bacon District and noone was on the street. @12:30 we reached our small nipa hut/store. Hehehe! As expected Mama's still awake but Ate(who went home on holy week) was already sleeping on the 2nd floor??? It wasn't a 2nd floor actually. Coz it's as wide as a queen size bed only with 5 steps to go up. Ok since I forgot to take some photos of our small house, I'll describe it.

• Front View: near the highway was two benches made of bamboo on each side and the small sari-sari store. The door was located at the one end of the bench at the right side and when you go inside, passed on the curtain to reach the kitchen/bedroom. Hahaha!

• Inside: at the back of the shelf where we put the goods were: clothes,pillows,cosmetics etc. while on the left side are the kitchenwares and bottled waters. @the middle was the 5 steps going up the bed. Hehehe! Since that was only 1 meter away from the ceiling, we need to put a mosquito net so that worms or other things from the anahaw won't fall directly to us. Haha!

At first I thought I can't sleep on that area since Me,Dimple and Ate were going to sleep there and the bed has no foam. But when I got there, I was wrong coz as soon as I lay down, the next thing I see was, It was already 10am. hahaha!

When I go out, some of my neighbors were having a chat with my father and when they saw me. the first phrase they said, "NELDA ANG TABA MO NA!!!" and my first reply "I KNOW!". Then I was assigned to watch the store and so bad that I don't know the price of the items. Good thing my cousin arrives to help me.

Before that, I forgot to mention that before going to bed, I changed clothes on my Lola's house since there's no bathroom in our house. Hehehe! Tita Besing, Melvin and Mamay were awaken and as expected, Mamay hugged and cried when she saw me. I think it lasted for 30minutes. By the way, I and Ate grew up in her care and not seeing us for a long time is so hard for her. She became thinner, older and lots of tantrums hehehe! but one thing that never change is we're still one of her favorite granddaughters. Hehehe!

Ok here's what I observed in my hometown. No childhood friends waiting for us except Elena. Why? Because most of them are currently working in Manila,Batangas,Cavite or Laguna and some have their own family already and migrated to other places. The children before were now taking the life we had before. They grew up so fast that I hardly recognized them. Houses if not new because of the previous storms that hit our province, were destroyed. A lot of new and unfamiliar faces passed/bought in our store and maybe we both have the same question in mind. "Who is he/she?" Of course a lot of them doesn't know or recognize me also. Even Kuya Marlon, one of my fave cousin, didn't recognize me at first sight. I kept on changing according to him. Hehehe! The way I look and talk, I become fatter, laugh so often, smiling always and not as shy as before. Same reactions with my other Lolas. But Elena had her own when she saw me after her duty at the Hospital. "ATE NELDA KAMUKHA MO NA SI KUYA ALBERT!" OMIGAS!!! I can't accept that. hahaha! peace Bert!!!

I never saw a former classmate in elementary and High School(except Crisanto). However, some of my teachers still know ME? Some of their lines were:
"HISUS! Pagkataba mo man LIZA." LIZA??? Mam, ako po to c NELDA. ahahaha!
Then one time, during the recognition day, I was running so fast coz the program had started already, I bumped to a grade 1 teacher and said, "Nelda luway luway lang, grade 3 pa lang naman." Whew! I thought I was late..wait she recognized me even she didn't become my teacher.

Earlier than that, @6:30am of Mar 28, that was the big event. Me, Mamay and Mama went to market to buy some goods needed for the banquet. We went to the wet market to buy meat and hotdogs. There's only one stall selling hotdogs and a young man is the vendor.

Nelda: "May tender juicy pa ba?"
Vendor: "Wara na tabi."
Nelda: "Ano na lang igwa?"(oh di ba barok na ako magbikol)
Vendor: "Beefies at Vida"
Nelda: "Cge pabakala 3kls ng Beefies."
Vendor: "Ay kulang na. Pwede Vida na lang iba."
Nelda: "Cge ilan gabos?"
then 3 more buyers came so his attention to us was diverted...I got a little bit irritated since we're the first customer to buy...I'm having this irritated face when suddenly...
Vendor: "264 Nelda." (huwaaat!!! did i hear it ryt?!)
Nelda: (whispering to Mama) "Ma, tinawag nya ako. Tama ba?"
that young vendor is smiling foolishly while entertaining his other customer...after few minutes..maybe he can't take it anymore...
Vendor: "Nelda...ako ung kapatid ni Perla."
Nelda: "HA?! GEM?!" he nodded.
Omigosh!! How come it's Gem. He's so manly. The last time I remember about him was he's gay-looking. We had a small talk afterwards. Gem was 1 year older than her sister, my elementary friend/classmate. I used to go to their house during our elementary days. When it's time to left, someone called me.

Anonymous: "Ms. Dichoso, bakal na sira."(bili raw ako ng isda)
when I turned my back...omigosh!
Nelda: "Filsan ika iyan?!"(he's my schoolmate in BECS,elementary)
Filsan: "Amo. Nagtitinda na baga ako mga sira"...etc

Hayz, I felt so happy afterwards. I met some old friends also like Janet Edwin(Gem's classmate),(ate's ex bf and 1 who treated me as bestfriend before), Erwin(the 214, but he's married now) and Jomar(who took a vacation also). During the 3 1/2 days stay in Bikol I found new friends also like the pasaway group and met some of my relatives and cousins on Dimple's graduation.

The thought that always came out of my mind whenever I spent vacation in Sorsogon was..."There's no place like home..." and I always left with tears in my eyes.

BLANK

Ngonian ko lang napaghurup-hurupan na saro palan ako sa mga tawong mapagal intindihon. Nata? Pan-o iba talaga ako sa kadamuan na babayi. Inda dai ko aram pero ining mga nakaaging aldaw pirmi nasasapak sa pandok ko na sala ang mga ingigibo ko.

1. Huna ko tama lang na hilingon ko sa sarong tawo na hatagan ako san atensyon na gusto ko. Na huna ko normal lang ang hagadon ko na itrato ako bagan prinsesa pero bako man so halos ikaag ako sa pedestal. Hahaha! Cguro ang marhay na sabihon, gus2 ko ang pirmi ko namamatian ang pagkamoot sako. (ewww! corny man pero totoo iyan)
2. Huna ko tama na maging maboot, madali makahanap ki amigo amiga, madali ranihan, pirmi mag-ulok.
   
3. Huna ko matipid ako pero nata dai ako ki tipon na hamag.

Intiro sana huna...huna...huna sala man palan. Nata? Ini ang mga rason kung nata sala ang mga paghuna ko sa taas.

1. Sabi kan iba ko na amiga, sinda daa gus2 ninda sinda ang naglalapag sa mga lalaknit. Habo ninda kan sobrang maboot or ang atensyon halos pirmi na lang sainda. Habo ninda na ang lalaknit ang nakamiss sainda gus2 ninda sinda ang nakamiss. Kung susumahon, ang gus2 ninda diit na effort duman sa lalaknit sa babayi ang dakul na effort. Iyan kabaligtaran sako.
2. Ang maboot ngonian in-aabuso. Garo ki kaya kaya sana ninda pag tarayan, sugu-suguan, artehan, hagadan ki pabor nan pangisogan ta dai sinda kaya labanan. Ini ang sala sako. Pinadakula akong maboot, pasalamat na ngani ako na ngonian tatao na ako makisimbagan. Ang maboot paghilingon in-aabuso sa tinampo. Iyan ang mga kamalasan na mamamatian mo sa luwas kan balay. At ako kaya ko magistorya kan kadakol na kamalasan ko sa luwas kan balay pero saro lang ang naukdan ko, may Diyos na pirmi nakabantay sako.
3. Matipid ako huna ko pero pag hinapot mo kung may tipon ako, ang sasabihon ko "WARA". Amo totoo iyan kaya lang bako man gabos nagtutuod. Nata dai ako nakatipon? Dai ko aram. Bako man ako magastos sa sadiri, bihira magbakal ki bado para sakuya. Bihira gumimik. Isad sa taon maglakwatsa. Halangkaw man ang sweldo kumpara sa iba. Pero wara ako kan insasabi na "tipon"

Sisay ang dapat salaon kung nata arog ako kaini. Wara. Ako nagdakula na harayo sa ama, daing tugang na lalaknit, puro babayi ang kaibahan. Sisay ang dai mahagad ki pagkamoot mula sa lalaknit. Damo man ako na barkada na lalaki pero ciempre iba pa man. Kaya cguro madali ako mamoot sa mga lalaking maboot sako. Bako ako magastos na tawo pero ang insasahod ko nata kasyahunon lang sa kaipuhan ko minsan ngani kulang pa. Pero ang masasabi ko man, maski nagsasakit ako, nabubuhay pa man giraray kami. Dai nagugutom, nakapasyar pa, nakakaon ki masiram, maogma pa man giraray.

Tatapuson ko na lang ang surat ko na ini na maski sala minsan ang paghuna ako, kadamo man san mga magagayon na ngyari maski sala iyan. Sa inot, maski papan-o maski paminsan-minsan lang, sobra pa sa in-expect ko nakukua ko. Sa panduwa naman, kadamo san amiga at amigo ko dahil sa ugali ko at sinda man sana ang nawawalat pag may problema ako. Pang-tolo, maski dai akong tipon, dai pa man kami nagsasakit, may pig-iistaran pa, pigkakaon, nan nakalakwatsa pa maski sarong beses sa isad na taon sa mga indadayo na probinsya. Minsan kaipuhan lang hanapon ang marhay na parte kan kamunduan.

Asian Novelas Adik

Sobrang IN ngaun to the highest level ang mga asian novelas. Ewan ko ba d ko na maalala kung kelan ako nahook sa mga toh. Basta isang araw nagising na lang ako na gustung-gusto ko na lagi manood ng mga asian series na pinapalabas sa 2(syempre kapamilya ako eh)well d2 naman tlga unang na-ere at nagsimula ang Asian Novela. Naalala ko pa dati 3rd year college, pag dating ng 4-5pm nawawalan ng OJT sa PUPILS(Polytechnic University of the Phils. Integrated System) Di ko na maalala kng ano ung 'L' basta samahan ng mga COMSCI/IT na gumagawa ng systems ng PUP. Meryenda daw ang rason pero ang totoo manonood lang ng Meteor Garden sa canteen. hahaha! Di pa nakuntento after manood, pagtatalunan pa kung sino mas ok, c Dao Ming Si or si Hua Ze Lei. Pero ako forever Hua Ze Lei ako na mula nang mapanood ko xa kasama ko na xa hanggang sa panaginip noon at kunwari ako si Shan Cai. Hahaha!

After ng Meteor Garden II, d ko na alam kung ano mga sumunod na nangyari. D ko alam kng sino nauna magpalabas ng Korean series GMA or ABS-CBN(care ko!). D ko na matandaan kng ano mga sumunod na palabas. Pero eto mga naalala ko na pinanood ko nung college: Lovers in Paris tapos naging idol ko pa si Kitchie Nadal. Hahaha! Cno ba d makakaalala kay Martin, Carlo at Vivian.

Napahinga ako ng konti nung grumaduate at nagkatrabaho na ako kc bihira na ako makapanood ng TV. Pero simula nung lumevel-up ang mga pirated DVDs (o matagal na cla lumevel-up, late ko lang nadiscover) pag may gus2 na akong series bumibili na ang lola mo. Name it.

1) My Girl(the best korean series for me)

2) Full House(ang kauna-unahang series sa GMA na pinanood ko kc lab ko c Rain tlga...)

3) Love Story in Harvard(tapos na to eere sa GMA nung pinanood ko eh...ate ko pa bumili nyan)

4) Something About 1%(ganda ng kwento at ending pero tingin ko not all will appreaciate this..e2 ang DVD na soooper pangit ng subtitle...)

5) Which Star Are You From(kung san soooper nahook ako kay Kim Rae Won...)

6) Princess Hours(ang d ko pinagsasawaang panoorin, DVD, show sa ABS tapos nireplay pa sinusubaybayan ko pa rin.. hahahaa! at sana ipalabas na ang part 2)

7) Spring Waltz(ang katatapos lang ng series sa ABS...at ang nakakahipnotismong soundtrack na "One Love" by Acel)

8) Coffee Prince(mas maganda pa rin Princess Hours, pero sooper trendy nga naman ng kwento nito... nakakainis lang ang ending...grr! sori sa mga fanatic d2...cguro kaya d ako nahook maxado kc ung kwento nabasa ko na sa pocketbook dati... or dahil 4 consecutive nyts na ako nagpupuyat. Marathon ng spring waltz den coffee prince kaya bandang huli d ko na na-appreciate maxado kc bangag na ako...hahaha!)

9) Marrying a Millionaire(d2 ko ulet napanood ung guy sa Green Rose at ung girl sa Glass Shoes kung san after ko to mapanood, I wish na ganyan ako kamahal ni Bert nyahahaha!)

10) My Love Patzzi(ang katatapos ko lang panoorin last weekend...bida ulet c Kim Rae Won hehehe! Kim Jae Won ng Wonderful Life at ung girl dun sa koreanovela dati ng ABS na pang-11am. eto ung series na kakaiba ang ending...hahaha! labo kng sino tlga nakatuluyan...the story of an evil girl but so nice tlga na tanging 2 lalaki lang nakakaintindi sa kanya and her friend na known to be nice pero cunning tlga. Two childhood friends who compete to each other but the other one always stole the happiness of her friend which turned the other girl to be bad.)

Taiwan nobela naman...charaaannnnnnnn!

1) It Started With a Kiss - hehehe! common lang story nito pero nakakatawa at nakaka-inlove... can't wait for the part 2.

2) Love Contract - si Ariel Lin ng ISWAK pa rin ang bida, pinalabas din to sa QTV pero so so lang ang kwento.

Marami pa yan eh d ko na matandaan. A Love To Kill(Rain), Save the Last Dance, Princess Lulu(Si Vivian ng Lovers in Paris) at Forbidden Love(bidang babae sa Love Story in Harvard) pero sa TV ko lang yan napanood. Hehehe! Kung mapapansin nyo wala yung ibang mga kilalang series pag mejo pangit kc dubbing feeling ko d na rin maganda. Gus2 ko kc maemosyon din ang boses. Hahaha! Yung tipong feel na feel mo ung sinasabi ng casts.

Ang pangit lang sken pag nanonood ako ng mga series, nagiging idealistic ako maxado. Dati sa pocketbuk ako adik, pero tinigil ko na nung lumabo mata ko. Sa kapapanood ko ng mga ganitong palabas, i wish na sana ganyan din ang kwento ko na, yung guy na magmamahal sken ganyan din. Hahaha! At ang pinakamalala, inaaway ko c Bert lagi after ko manood. Hahaha! For almost 1 week high pa rin ako nyan sa pinanood ko at kadalasan dala ko pa hanggang sa panaginip ko. ADIK tlga. Ang series na pinapalabas ng months sa TV 2-4days ko lang pinapanood. Hehehe! Expert na nga ako sa pagbabasa ng subtitle na bali-baliko ang English. Example "It is not your falsely." Ano napapala ko? Wala!
